Corporate real estate, run by Cisco's Workplace Resources group (WPR), is responsible for:

• The acquisition and disposition of real estate
• Facilities planning, construction and space configuration
• Managing a host of workplace related services for Cisco employees

The group is currently responsible for more than 530 buildings, comprising 21.7 million square feet and housing more than 83,000 people in over 90 countries. Its goals are to lower costs, increase productivity, improve employee satisfaction, and showcase Cisco technology.

WPR drives critical initiatives related to workplace design and location. Current programs include:

• Cisco Connected Workplace: Delivering next-generation work environments to align with the needs of our workforce
• Global Site Strategy: Determining and repositioning Cisco locations to drive optimum business success
• Field Sales Office Strategy: Developing new strategies and designs for our field offices to help drive sales
